Scera Pool

The boys!
Cody, Kyle, Kasen and Burke
There are two things my boys just absolutely Love...
Cousins to play with and swimming!
And when the two combine they are in heaven!
These two are inseparable...such good buds! My little water babies! Burke loved the Scera pool even more this year because he was tall enough to go down the slides!:) He loved the fast one the most! Kasen was bummed that he wasn't able to go on the slide:( He wasn't tall enough, or old enough to get a ducky pass, and I forgot to bring a life jacket so he could at least go down with mom! But they were both able to do the diving boards so Kasen was happy about that!

Bridal shower for Ann

We are having a wedding this week
so we threw a bridal shower for Ann!
This is the food table...
it looked so good!
Even the bees though so, they couldn't stay away!
the little brides to be someday!
Sophie, Shelti, Bella, Alison, and Olivia The Bride Ann and her Mom Kathy The ones who put it all together! Well that was mostly Nichol...she is a natural event planner! Thanks for everything Nichol! We love you Ann and we are so happy you are going to be in the family! Love ya!

Dinner in the canyon!

Derek decided that he wanted to have dinner up in the canyon
after church and invite some friends. So when he gets these ideas
they are usually last minute.
So we are grateful that are friends were accommodating:)
So we got up there and hurried to get dinner going
and then it started to rain on us...
so everyone wasw under the tree to keep dry and eat our dinner!
It was a good time though! Thanks for joining us Cards!

Softball...who knew?

So Derek and I have been playing on a co-ed softball team.
I kind of got roped into doing this, even though I have never played
a game of softball before in my life!
So here we go!
Here is Derek hitting the ball!
He's pretty good!
So here is me watching the ball go by...
looking a bit awkward I think:) And I probably struck out...sometimes I was lucky and got to walk! This is the position I played...catcher! I didn't dare play in the out field... not that they would want me out there anyways! It was fun and stressful for me at times too! I always want to do better then I do.... but that is how I feel with everything I do so whatever!:)

Happy birthday Dad!

Happy Birthday Dad!
We celebrated my Dads birthday on the 5th of July!
We had a family dinner and then did some fireworks!
Hope you had a fun day Dad...we love you!

4th of July!

We started a new tradition last year!
We head up to the mountains and make breakfast in the morning.
The guys make the works! It is so yummy!
And the kids love to run around and play so it is pretty relaxing for us moms!
Grandma Taylor took some of the kids for a walk. Then we head back to our place to go swimming! Grandpa Nelson joined us for a swim this time... The boys had fun in the pool with grandma and grandpa and some of their cousins! Then we get all cleaned up and head to Provo to watch the fire works. We tried to do our own fireworks but we were on the wrong side of 9th east to be able to do fire works. But the kids still have fun running around and riding on the wiggly cars Trina and Spencer brought. I've liked this way of celebrating the 4th.... it makes it more relaxed then rushing to make it to the parade, and running all over town to make it in time for things. We will need to take the kids to the stadium of fire one of these years though! Hope you all had a good 4th of July!
