After we did the Build a Bear we went over to Grandma Taylor's for a family party there. He got lots of fun things for his party! (He was really anxious to watch the Bee Movie, so thanks again to the Taylor family!) Then Sunday ...the actual Birthday... we had another party at Gma and Gpa Nelson's house...where he got more fun things (his favorite was the dragon puzzle, which he has already mastered!) So he had a lot of fun he said... and that makes it all worth it, especially for the mother! So, thank you again to our family for helping us celebrate this little guys birthday!
Kasen turns Three!!!
Kasen turned 3! How time sure flys by...he was JUST a baby not too long ago! What an eventful, fun weekend we have had... we had two birthday parties for this little guy...So Saturday morning we had pancakes made by dad... then we got ready for the day and headed out to the movies! We took the boys to see Horton Hears a Who... they thought it was a really funny movie...There were parts in the movie where Burke was laughing so hard! Then from there we headed over to the mall to the Build a Bear... Kasen had a bit of a hard time deciding which animal he wanted...but he finally got the Black Bear... then it was time to stuff him...he liked pushing on the pedal...but became very shy when it came to talking to the girl helping us. All said and done I think he really likes his "smokey" the bear.
He must like him because he wants to snuggle with him ever time he goes to sleep!:)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE BUDDY!
Oh the memories!
For Relief Society's Enrichment night we are having a talent tell night. So basically everyone was suppose to tattle tell on someones talents. So someone in my ward told that I use to be a gymnast... now tonight I have to go to the enrichment and do a little display of gymnastics things. So in my preparation for this night I have been going through all of my old gym things and I am feeling flooded with the memories of almost eighteen years of doing gymnastics. It has been kind of overwhelming... I have had both happy, funny memories...like the one at an Arizona meet where I had my best Vault EVER in college and then had to hurry to help out a fellow gymnasts who had a bladder accident (enough said...they know who they are:))....to sad memories of when my former coach quit and went to another gym just north of mine! All in all that time in my life was a major part of who I am today and the relationships that I have made still play a role in my life today... so Thank you to all of you who played a role in my life through my wonderful experiences in Gymnastics!:)
Haircut time!
Before:
After:
It was the dreaded haircutting time again (ya know the once a year thing for him!) He doesn't like getting his hair done, washed, or cut! (yea, difficult kid!) So we decided that it was time, seeing how froed out it was getting (the picture doesn't do the fro justice). We hate cutting his hair because it really does look cute when it is all done, but getting to the part where it is all done is quite the task! So we managed to get it cut (all of it...well... we hope so, he was pretty squirmy!) He always looks so much older when we cut it... but still looks so darn cute! My baby is getting so old ...he's almost THREE! Crazy!
Me Too!
