Time Out?

So Kasen was sitting in a time out on the stool behind him and we were in the other room. Derek looked down the hall to see kasen playing with mommies BRAS! Its was so funny to watch because at first he had no idea that we were even watching him. He first started with tha bra on the outside of his shirt and thought that was funny. Then he started pulling up his shirt to do it the "right " way. He couldn't ever figure out how to put in on his shoulders though! It was hilarious to see him try to figure out what to do with it after he pulled it out of the drawer. And then to see him trying a few different ones. The curiousity of a two year old is sometimes really funny to watch.

Geo trax!

My boys love to play with their ginormous Geo trax train set! I however have a hard time loving it for several reasons... the first of which is that it is ginormous!...second of all they get it all out and I think it overwhelms them (because it is ginormous) so they end up playing with it for a few minutes and then they are done, moving on!...third is because it takes up the whole living room so there is no room to move around it so Kasen ends up making it fall apart from trying to get around it; therefore there is a fight about that... that's not cool. So the small house thing is an issue, not enough room for Geo trax...whatever will we do?!
So I let them get the whole thing out on Sunday after church (This was like a holiday for them, mom actually let them get it ALL out!) So Derek and I helped set up the whole thing, including the trees, stop signs, etc. They were having so much fun seeing if Kasen's train could catch up to Burke's. It was really fun to watch them play so well with it all out this time! So mom lesson in all of this is to help them get it all out and set it up for them, but not too often, then it is a treat for them to get to play with it the next time.
We just NEED a bigger house and then I won't have half of the issues I have with them wanting to play with it! Burke said in his prayer for FHE the other night "and please bless us to get a new house", and NO I haven't been talking about wanting to get a house to him! This was all him and a lot had to do with the big play set he saw and wanted at Costco. Some day buddy!

Making treats!

Who are these cute boys?! Man... look at the fro on the little guy! Making a treat at Aunt Tri Tri'sand Uncle Ethans house. These two just really want to lick the goods off of the spoons, so they'll act like they are helping until the time comes to cleans off the utensils...then they're otta there! You just can'thelpbut laugh though...especially when they have it all over their faces:)
Look at him go!! And to answer the all too common question...yes, his curls are natural...No, I don't curl his hair... he got it from his dad, however Derek's wasn't this curlly...Kasen's curl is like Jerry curl worthy...so watch out girls ( in 15 years!:)) What a cutey!

Sledding!

These boys could do this all day! They love to go sledding and play in the snow! Especially with their Aunt Tri Tri and Uncle Eth! They had a ball, and can't wait to go with them again! Burke ended up with the fun job of pulling Kasen back up to go again. Kasen hates it when no one will pull him backup the hill! Poor little guy... but Burke generally is a nice big bro to help him out...plus it wears them out to do this for a while:)
Kasen is funny when he goes down the hill...his is usually moving back and forth to try to go a bit faster! This fun he will say! There is a lesson in these simple sledding days... us adults need to find pleasure in the simple things again just like our kids do and just have fun every once in a while:) I know easier said than done when all the responsibility is on us...right!
