Kindergarten here at last!

So I know that this is not his ready for school picture (that one was turned the wrong way, if anyone knows how to rotate pics on your blog feel free to fill in the clueless one:)) These are the pics we took at the farm that we went to right after school today, so I guess that is close enough right?! He did so well! I had to go back over (after he left me right when we got to the school playground) to tell him bye and he was so excited! He signed I love you and he was off! This is such a big milestone! He will now go to school for a LONG time from here on out...that definitely speeds up the childhood stage! :) But he is ready and apparently I am too... no tears shed from me... Kasen was a bit nervous this morning though ( poor little guy stuck with mom for a couple of hours... no fun!) Burke kept saying " that was so so so much fun, I love my school" That is a good sign...lets just hope it lasts:)

Boating!!!

So if you know me at all you know that I CANNOT resist going boating! I LOVE BOATING!
I know...I am a bit OCD! So my bro/sis-in-law invited us out on their boat the other day...this totally made my day! It couldn't get any better than this (except if we were to go out ALL day)!!! They have the sea doo "ray" tube that is such a blast! I rode with Chloe and her friend but it wasn't very long and not very fast (I LOVE to go fast:)), but it was too fast for them needless to say Chloe doesn't want to ride with me:( So I finally got Derek to go FAST with me! It was so much fun...Brandon finally got Derek's side to pull under and Derek came off which made me flip off...I was ready for more but apparently Derek's intuition to get off was just a second too late. In his coming off the tube he knocked the wind out of him...later realizing that he some how bruised his rib and leg in the process?! He manages to hurt something and/or pull something everytime we do something...I tease him that it is because he is "old" , I'm such a nice wife aren't I :)
The boys had so so so much fun...I'll give Burke another year and he will want to go just as fast as I do:) Both boys loved the tube and boating in general...they can't wait to go again!
Thanks again Brandon and Nichol!

Soccer Game #2

Burke scored his first ever goal in his game tonight! He was so excited that he raised his arms up over his head like he was showing his muscles for a few seconds! Way to get after the ball Burke...your doing really well, keep it up kid!:)

Soccer begins!

Soccer has started! We had our fist game last week and so far he really likes it. We have to remind him to not do sommersaults on the field and to go after the ball, and stop talking to Cody every once in a while. At one point in the game he almost scored...But Shelti was the one who was able to get the ball in the net two times! Way to go girl! Cody and Shelti are on Burkes team so that has been fun for him.
Look at that cute #4!:)

BBQ with the Andersens

Angie and I set up a BBQ at her house to let our kids play and so the adults could visit. The kids had a blast going down the water slide and jumping on the tramp...that is exactly what my kids need! Derek and I enjoyed talking and laughing with Ang and Lor. Thanks for having us over guys we had a blast!

Eclipse / Breaking Dawn

Okay, all I can say is that I LOVED it! I was doubting it in the first part of breaking dawn that I would like how the book ends....well I stuck with it with the help of a few people:) Derek is right and it is a good thing that he doesn't read this much but I am totally addicted! I think I have watched the trailer for the move like five times now and can't wait for the movie to come out! November 21st!:) I have also read the first chapter in the Edward version....I just can't get enough... way too good. I haven't decided if I am going to read the Host yet or not...maybe in a month or so, we will let this two week marathon of all four books get behind us a bit first. Maybe when Derek, my dad and Angie all stop teasing me I'll start it:) I encourage all of you who haven't read to read this saga (but make sure you can do it when you don't have to put it down much:) Enjoy!

Twilight/ New Moon

Okay...for someone who doesn't read (only Harry Potter books) I am TOTALLY obsessed with these books! I read Twilight in a week and New Moon in a day and a half ( so NOT normal for me to stay up into the early morning hours to read! I value my sleep so much more that a book...usually) But wow! The only reason that I even started this journey is the intrigue from everyone I know that has read or is reading! (especially my mom, I've never seen her act like this, thanks mom :) Wow, do I succumb to peer pressure easily:) I know Derek is wondering who I am and when he will have his wife back...although it is kind of perfect timing...he will be gone a lot seeing what time of year it is...Hunting season!!! (not the vampire kind:)) So there it is...I'll admit it... I'm a junky for this series! I now just anxiously await to go to my moms to pick up Eclipse!:)

Softball Season!

Dereks softball season has begun!
He is excited to be playing for several reasons: one is that he is being active and that is always good and two that he is playing a competitive sport again which he loves:)
So as you can see from the picture he is playing the catcher position.
Hangin' out with some teammates in the dugout!
Derek, Luke and Lance

Here is one of Derek's hits... he did well to get on base most of the time...but could manage to get on to second base as they were too fast and got him out several times. He even risked his body and tried to slide in to make it on base. Result: a really scrapped up knee. Way to sacrifice for the team, Derek! The boys were really excited to come and watch dad play in his game! They also spent a little time playing with the ants too... my boys can't resist playing with the bugs that they find! It is a boy thing which mom doesn't understand!:) The team was 0-2 for the night!

Better luck next week guys!

More water fun!

Today we took the kids to the Scera Pool to swim with cousins.
They weren't allowed to go down the slides so they were pretty bummed...until I said hey lets go to the diving boards instead! They liked this idea!
Here is our little Olympian swimmer...He was working on his dive today
(or hands first fall in)

Here is kasen without his floaties on this time... seeing how he can swim now:)

When we got over to the diving boards they went to get on them and the life guard asked us if they can swim to the side without help, so we said yes and she let them go. You could tell that she was pretty impressed with the little guy as she was laughing and smiling at him and us. Then later on when they were jumping off a lady came to watch he older kids and stood behind me. When Kasen jumped she said "now that is impressive!"....another lady had to ask me how old he was and couldn't believe he could swim let alone jump off the diving board at 3! He was the show stealer at the Scera Pool diving boards!

Burke liked the water shooting dragons!

We had a fun day at the pool...then we got cleaned up dropped off the kids at my moms and headed off to dinner for our 9th anniversary! We are getting up there in years! Thanks mom and dad for watching the boys, we really appreciate it!

Itty Bitty Soccer

Burke took this picture, I have yet to get a really good one taken,
the rest are too dark to see.
Kasen has been doing the itty bitty soccer for Lehi.
His team is Brazil!
He has been doing really well...no kids have been hit by him:),
he only comes to me one time and then
I have to remind him he won't get a treat
if he doesn't stay with his team,
he likes to play with his friend Bryton,
he loves to chase the ball,
and he loves to get his treat!
This has been fun for him!

Provo River Falls

Derek has been itching to go camping but we haven't been able to yet.
So he had the idea to go up to Kamas to find a picnic spot in the
Uintas... so off we go after church on Sunday!
I crashed on the way up there...but apparently the drive was beautiful!
We cooked dinner...threw rocks in the stream...drove more...hiked around the Provo river ( there were a lot of cool pix we took but they are all turned...so I'll save your necks!:)
Derek was in heaven especially when we saw a few good bucks!
